NOVA Entertainment has today announced folk-rock singer-songwriter Michael Marcagi as the next artist to perform live in Nova’s Red Room. The highly anticipated performance will be held at Lulie Tavern in Melbourne on Tuesday, July 16.

The exclusive set will be Marcagi’s debut on the Nova’s Red Room stage and the fourth Nova’s Red Room event in Melbourne for the year. 200 lucky fans will be treated to the money-can’t-buy private show where the American artist is set to perform his well-known hits ‘The Other Side’ and ‘Scared to Start’.

Ahead of the performance, Michael Marcagi said “I’m really looking forward to my first Australian tour this month and to be playing a stripped back show in Melbourne for Nova winners.”

Mel Tracina, host of Nova 100’s workday from 9am to 2pm, and cultural correspondent on Channel 10’s The Cheap Seats, will host the exclusive event in Melbourne’s inner-city.

Marcagi emerged onto the music scene with his debut tracks chalking up millions of TikTok views. In a few short weeks he had built a legion of eager fans and secured a record deal despite having just two songs to his name. His debut EP American Romance, released through Warner Records, expands on that promise, highlighting the timeless sound and engaging sense of emotional truth that has made Marcagi’s music so immediately compelling.
