{"id":1330,"date":"2025-05-01T15:45:15","date_gmt":"2025-05-01T15:45:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/radioindustrynews.com.au\/?p=1330"},"modified":"2025-05-01T15:45:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-01T15:45:15","slug":"perths-6pr-holds-its-position-as-the-no-1-talk-show-in-the-west","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/radioindustrynews.com.au\/index.php\/2025\/05\/01\/perths-6pr-holds-its-position-as-the-no-1-talk-show-in-the-west\/","title":{"rendered":"Perth\u2019s 6PR holds its position as the No.1 talk show in the west"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>Perth\u2019s 6PR has reaffirmed its dominance as the No.1 news and talk station in WA achieving a 7.3 share \u2013 a growth of 0.2% from the previous survey and up 1.8% year-on-year.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Time Spent Listening<\/strong>&nbsp;for&nbsp;<strong>6PR&nbsp;<\/strong>was again&nbsp;<strong>#1 in Perth<\/strong>&nbsp;increasing another 34 minutes with its closest competitor nearly 2 hours behind.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>6PR Breakfast with Steve Mills and Karl Langdon&nbsp;<\/strong>(5am \u2013 9am) recorded a share of&nbsp;<strong>9.8<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 up<strong>&nbsp;0.4%<\/strong>&nbsp;compared to last survey.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Perth Today with Simon Beaumont&nbsp;<\/strong>(9am \u2013 1pm) posted a share of<strong>&nbsp;7.6&nbsp;<\/strong>(up 1.6%, year-on-year),<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>and&nbsp;<strong>Perth Live with Oliver Peterson<\/strong>&nbsp;(1pm \u2013 5pm) secured<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong>a share of&nbsp;<strong>5.6<\/strong>&nbsp;\u2013 up 1.2% year-on-year.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Streaming also continues to be a strong growth channel:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Streaming Millsy and Karl: #1 Share \u2013 22<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Streaming Share: 11.8% (No.1 Talk Station in streaming)\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>6PR Content Manager,<strong>&nbsp;Brad Pottinger<\/strong>&nbsp;said: \u201cGreat to see Perth listeners tuning in for even longer with TSL continuing to be #1. Survey 2 included our AFL coverage with cume and share growth in all timeslots survey to survey plus year-on-year.
