The talent on display is truly special, and we are thrilled to see such a diverse array of voices ready to shine as showtime approaches,\u201d said Jo Dick, Commercial Radio &amp; Audio (CRA) chief commercial officer.<\/p>\n<p>The nominees for the highly anticipated ACRA for\u00a0<strong>Best On Air Team (Metro)<\/strong>\u00a0are last year\u2019s winners\u00a0<strong>Brendan Jones<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>and Amanda Keller<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>Jonesy &amp; Amanda<\/em>, WSFM, ARN), 2022 Hall of Fame inductees\u00a0<strong>Kyle Sandilands and Jackie Henderson<\/strong>\u00a0(<em>The Kyle and Jackie O Show<\/em>, KIIS 1065, ARN),\u00a0<em><strong>The Christian O\u2019Connell Show<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(GOLD104.3, ARN),\u00a0<em><strong>Jase &amp; Lauren<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(Nova 100, NOVA Entertainment),\u00a0<em><strong>Carrie &amp; Tommy<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(3FOX, SCA), and\u00a0<em><strong>Fitzy &amp; Wippa with Kate Ritchie<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(Nova 96.9, NOVA Entertainment).<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Individual Talent of the Year Award<\/strong>\u00a0has attracted the highest number of submissions across all categories. This year&#8217;s Metro finalists are\u00a0<strong>Christian O\u2019Connell<\/strong>\u00a0(GOLD104.3, ARN),\u00a0<strong>Ray Hadley<\/strong>\u00a0(2GB, Nine Radio),\u00a0<strong>\u201cUgly\u201d Phil O\u2019Neil<\/strong>\u00a0(WSFM, ARN),\u00a0<strong>Jackie Henderson<\/strong>\u00a0(KIIS 1065, ARN),\u00a0<strong>Fifi Box<\/strong>\u00a0(3FOX, SCA),\u00a0<strong>Kate Ritchie<\/strong>\u00a0(Nova 96.9, NOVA Entertainment), and\u00a0<strong>Ricki-Lee Coulter<\/strong>\u00a0(Nova Network, NOVA Entertainment) and\u00a0<strong>Ben Fordham\u00a0<\/strong>(2GB, Nine Radio).<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;It&#8217;s great to see the increased prominence of female finalists in this year&#8217;s Individual Talent of the Year lineup. These exceptional people are leading the charge and making a significant impact on the radio industry,&#8221; commented Ms Dick.<\/p>\n<p>Battling it out for\u00a0<strong>Station of the Year Award (Metro)\u00a0<\/strong>are B105 Brisbane; GOLD104.3 Melbourne; 2GB Sydney; Triple M Adelaide; and 2023 winners KIIS 1065 Sydney.\u00a0<strong>Non-metro<\/strong>\u00a0contenders are: 1029 Hot Tomato, Gold Coast; 102.9 Triple M, Newcastle; 102.3 Triple M, Townsville; and defending champs Mix 106.3, Canberra.<\/p>\n<p>The competition for the\u00a0<strong>Best Networked Show Award<\/strong>\u00a0is fierce, with last year\u2019s winners,\u00a0<strong>The Kyle and Jackie O Hour of Power<\/strong>\u00a0(KIIS Network, Sydney, ARN) up against\u00a0<strong>Fitzy &amp; Wippa with Kate Ritchie<\/strong>\u00a0(Nova 96.9, NOVA Entertainment),\u00a0<strong>Ricki-Lee, Tim &amp; Joel\u00a0<\/strong>(Nova Network, NOVA Entertainment),\u00a0<strong>The Christian O\u2019Connell Show<\/strong>\u00a0(GOLD104.3, ARN),\u00a0<strong>The Jimmy &amp; Nath Show<\/strong>\u00a0(The Hit Network, SCA), and\u00a0<strong>Jess &amp; Ducko<\/strong>\u00a0(Hit106.9, Newcastle, SCA).<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<strong>Podcast Host\/s of the Year<\/strong>\u00a0category is packed with standout talent. Finalists include\u00a0<strong>Hamish &amp; Andy<\/strong>\u00a0(The Hamish &amp; Andy Podcast, LiSTNR, SCA),\u00a0<strong>Amelia Oberhardt<\/strong>\u00a0(Secrets We Keep: Shame, Lies and Family, LiSTNR, SCA),\u00a0<strong>Amanda Keller<\/strong>\u00a0(Double A Chattery, iHeart, ARN),\u00a0<strong>Christian McEwan<\/strong>\u00a0(The Dragons Den, i98FM, WIN Network),\u00a0<strong>Ant Middleton<\/strong>\u00a0(Head Game, Nova Podcasts), and the dynamic duo\u00a0<strong>Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne<\/strong>\u00a0(Life Uncut, iHeart, ARN).<\/p>\n<p>Last year\u2019s Podcast Host of the Year,<strong>\u00a0Abbie Chatfield<\/strong>, is a contender for the\u00a0<strong>Podcast of the Year Award<\/strong>\u00a0with It\u2019s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield (LiSTNR, SCA). She will be up against\u00a0<strong>Hamish &amp; Andy<\/strong>\u00a0(LiSTNR, SCA),\u00a0<strong>Amelia Oberhardt\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0Secrets We Keep: Shame, Lies and Family (LiSTNR, SCA),\u00a0<strong>Crime Insiders<\/strong>\u00a0(LiSTNR, SCA), and\u00a0<strong>Hannah\u2019s Story<\/strong>\u00a0(9Podcasts, Nine Radio).<\/p>\n<p>The finalists for\u00a0<strong>Best News Event Coverage<\/strong>\u00a0exemplify top-tier journalism, delivering breaking news that has a profound impact on our communities.
