Executive Head of\u00a0LiSTNR\u00a0Podcasts Grant Tothill has announced the appointment of Clair Weaver to the newly created role of Head of Factual for\u00a0LiSTNR.<\/p>\n

Weaver brings a wealth of experience in investigative journalism, editorial policy, and news producing. Her impressive career includes working with\u00a060 Minutes<\/em>\u00a0as a Producer,\u00a09News Sydney<\/em>\u00a0as an Investigations Editor,\u00a0The Australian Women\u2019s Weekly<\/em>\u00a0as a Senior Journalist, and, as a Reporter for the\u00a0Sunday Telegraph<\/em>\u00a0and London\u2019s\u00a0Evening Standard<\/em>.<\/p>\n

More recently, as\u00a0LiSTNR\u2019s\u00a0Investigations Editor, Weaver has worked across many different areas of the News and Information podcast slate.<\/p>\n

Tothill said: \u201cClair\u2019s contributions have been instrumental in the success of\u00a0The Briefing<\/em>\u00a0and her strong understanding of crime reporting and long-form storytelling has contributed to the creation of\u00a0LiSTNR\u2019s\u00a0compelling\u00a0docu-series, including seasons one and two of the highly successful\u00a0Secrets We Keep<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cClair is well credentialled to build on the achievements of the teams led by both Melanie Withnall and Jennifer Goggin. I am confident she will provide strong leadership of the newly formed Factual team as\u00a0LiSTNR\u00a0continues its investment into a growing sector of the podcast audience landscape, allowing\u00a0LiSTNR\u00a0original podcasts to continue to grow the audiences that matter, for improved commercialisation opportunities.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clair\u2019s appointment is effective immediately and follows the pending departure of Head of News and Information, Melanie Withnall, and the recent departure of\u00a0LiSTNR\u00a0Original Podcasts Head of Factual and Drama, Jennifer Goggin.<\/p>\n
