Her distinguished on-field achievements include being a two-time All-Australian, winning the Geelong Best and Fairest award in 2019, and finishing as the longest-serving skipper in the club\u2019s AFLW history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Away from the field, McDonald has built a strong professional portfolio, working closely with the media and the AFL as a member of Geelong\u2019s communications team. Crucially, she has already established a strong relationship with<em>&nbsp;3AW<\/em>, having worked with the station throughout the 2025 AFL and AFLW seasons, in addition to her involvement with Fox Footy for a number of years. McDonald has also been recognised for her leadership potential, having been nominated for the AFL\u2019s prestigious leadership program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>3AW Station Manager, Stephen Beers<\/strong>, said of McDonald\u2019s appointment: \u201cWe are absolutely thrilled to welcome Meg to 3AW as our Executive Producer of 3AW Football.
