You will write and produce news stories that align with the core values of community broadcasting and&nbsp;showcase&nbsp;diverse voices from our local community, including Indigenous, CALD, LGBTQIA+, women, and youth. This includes newsgathering in the community, such as producing interviews, vox pops, covering local council meetings, and attending other media opportunities.&nbsp;<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Journalist is central to 2MCE-FM\u2019s Local Voices News Project, a project dedicated to enhancing local voices from our regional community, taking a multiplatform approach to local news content, and supporting our volunteers with pathways to contribute to news production.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This role is made possible with the support of the Community Broadcasting Foundation. Find out more at cbf.org.au&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About you<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Knowledge of local news and issues in Bathurst and Orange&nbsp;<br>Previous experience in producing and presenting radio news&nbsp;<br>Knowledge of and passion for community broadcasting and producing stories that&nbsp;prioritise&nbsp;community voices&nbsp;<br>Strong news sense and ability to exercise sound editorial judgement&nbsp;<br>Experience in social media content creation would be&nbsp;advantageous&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>About us<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We are a university of the land and people of our region.
