This success is a clear signal of the strength of Nine\u2019s live and local strategy and growing trend of Australians tuning into trusted talk radio for longer, valuing the depth of news, opinion, sport, and entertainment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>2GB stands out as Sydney\u2019s No.1&nbsp;<\/strong>station, with its share climbing to&nbsp;<strong>13.6%<\/strong>&nbsp;(up 0.8 points). This growth is definitive across all dayparts, with&nbsp;<strong>Ben Fordham Live<\/strong>&nbsp;surging to a commanding&nbsp;<strong>16.7% share<\/strong>&nbsp;in Breakfast (up 1.1), more than four points clear of his closest competitor.&nbsp;<strong>Mark Levy<\/strong>&nbsp;has also solidified his position as No.1 in Mornings with an impressive&nbsp;<strong>15.5% share<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both Fordham and Levy have delivered an&nbsp;<strong>unbroken winning streak for 2GB this year<\/strong>, consistently dominating their respective slots and showcasing the power of a refreshed, resonating lineup.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>In Melbourne, 3AW continues its market dominance with a&nbsp;<\/strong><strong>12.5% share<\/strong>. Breakfast with&nbsp;<strong>Ross and Russel&nbsp;<\/strong>remains the undisputed No.1, with a strong&nbsp;<strong>18.7% share<\/strong>, while&nbsp;<strong>Tom Elliott\u2019s Mornings<\/strong>&nbsp;program remains the favourite with listeners, delivering a&nbsp;<strong>15.0% share<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Beyond the major cities,&nbsp;<strong>Brisbane\u2019s 4BC<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Perth\u2019s 6PR<\/strong>&nbsp;also reported audience gains, with listeners spending more time engaged with their local talk content.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p><strong>Greg Byrnes, Nine\u2019s National Content Manager<\/strong>, said: \u201cThese figures show Sydney has embraced 2GB\u2019s new sound with big increases right across the day. This milestone underscores the network\u2019s robust growth in the Australian podcasting landscape, reaching over&nbsp;<strong>1.97 million listeners<\/strong>&nbsp;and accumulating&nbsp;<strong>4.76 million downloads<\/strong>&nbsp;in May alone. This new podcast brought listeners directly into the courtroom during the highly anticipated trial of Erin Patterson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other strong performers contributing to the network\u2019s success include the consistent popularity of&nbsp;<strong><em>Ben Fordham Live<\/em><\/strong>, which reached&nbsp;<strong>195,000 listeners<\/strong>, and&nbsp;<strong><em>9News<\/em><\/strong>, with&nbsp;<strong>169,000 listeners<\/strong>.
