ABC Victoria has named Nic Healey as the new presenter for its flagship Statewide Mornings program.<\/p>\n

Originally hailing from Deniliquin in the Riverina area of NSW, Nic joined the ABC in 2018, hosting regional breakfast radio first in Karratha in WA, then Dubbo in NSW and more recently, in Shepparton, Victoria.<\/p>\n

\u201cI’m honoured and excited to be stepping behind the mic on Statewide Mornings,\u201d Nic said.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt’s an incredible opportunity to help share some of the amazing stories from right around Victoria.<\/p>\n

“The team is one of the most dedicated and skilled that you could find on radio anywhere in the country \u2014 I’m looking forward to working with them.<\/p>\n

“Plus, after nearly seven years of Breakfast radio that extra hour of sleep is going to feel life changing.”<\/p>\n

Regional Editor Victoria, Toni Hetherington said the appointment reflected ABC\u2019s ongoing commitment to local programming.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe regional Victorian audience is already familiar with Nic, who brings a wealth of experience and leadership to this role.\u201d<\/p>\n

Nic will be based in Shepparton and will present his first show of the year on Monday 13 January.<\/p>\n
